ABOUT

Courageous Hearts Ministeries Inc. is an outreach ministry with a heart to serve in northern first nation communities. Allan Spence was born and raised in the northern community of South Indian Lake Manitoba. His Grandmother's family were the original family when the community was just a  trapline and camp. His Grandmothers name is Annie Moose. She was one of the oldest elders in Canada at one time. She was recorded to be 113 years old. Allan was a commercial fisherman, and trapper, he was raised living in the trapline and helping his mother and grandmother throughout his young life. He is a registered band member of with  Nelson House First Nation. This community was active and supportive sponsors of his Bible School education which he received in Fort Qu'Appelle Saskatchewan 2012-2013  He has a passion for studying and learning about the Word of God and loves to share his testimony of how the Lord healed him from alcoholism with no cravings or sickness in his body afterward. Allan has written many songs about the Lord's work in his life, and he loves to sing and share with others.  The goodness and blessings are alive in his life today and it is his hope and desire to share with others about whom he calls his best friend and savior Jesus Christ with others.

We are graduates of the First Nation Full Gospel Bible school In Fort Qu' Appelle Saskatchewan. Allan and his wife Virginia have been serving the Lord together for over 10 years now. Allan's wife Virginia Spence was Born and raised in Southern Alberta. She is a member of the Blood tribe from standoff Alberta. she was adopted to a family just across the River in Hillspring Alberta. Together they moved to Leaf Rapids in 2009, where they opened up their home to community members and their children to fellowship and sing and share what they could about themselves and how the Lord was doing things for them, in their life. They rented out the Catholic church and held services there for a while. It was during this time and this experience that the heart for outreach was established in them. After this couple moved on to do other things at bible school and ministry trips and preaching and teaching, their heart held fast to the hope of getting back to that place of freely being able to fellowship with others and help to guide and teach the basic and simple truths of the Gospel like they did in their home in Leaf Rapids. The Word Ministry means to serve others, so the question in our hearts for those who come into the home and ministry really is" What can we do to help you?"
